"He reached down from heaven and rescued me, He drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemies, from those who hated me and were too strong for me. They attacked me at a moment when I was in distress, but the Lord supported me. He led me to a place of safety; He rescued me because He delights in me." -Psalm 18:16-19
This is for the fighters.
For those who, like me, have flaws to remind them of their weak, feeble, vulnerable, puny nature.
For those who, like me, fight battles people may never know or witness;
For those who, like me, have flaws to remind them of their weak, feeble, vulnerable, puny nature.
For those who, like me, fight battles people may never know or witness;
but keep pushing themselves nonetheless.
For those who know they need a Savior.
For those who know that they can't do it.
They can't fight all alone.
This is for the suicidal, the depressed, this sick, the addict, the hurt, the bruised, the scarred, the scared, the abused, the broken.
Damsels.
Damsels.
This is for those who are brave enough to actually admit that they have been afraid.
We're together in this.
Damsels.
I may not know your demons, may not see your tears, may not feel your pain,
I may not even understand.
I may not be able to whisper a word of comfort to silence the scary screams.
But, I know someone.
I know someone who can relate.
I know someone who can relate.
I know someone, you can't run from no matter how fast you are.
I know someone who, believe it or not, is stronger than your greatest demons;
Your biggest fears and loudest screams.
I know someone.
I know one who brings hope to those who have seen no light.
Hopeless?
I know someone who can feel your pain, because he Himself had a reputation acquainted with pain.
Man of Sorrows, they called him.
I know someone.
One who can speak one word.
One word that can get through past the noise.
I know someone.
One who doesn't even need to scream for attention, to gain power,
For his very whisper silences.
His very whisper breathes life.
His very whisper saves a life.
His very whisper keeps you breathing.
Like oxygen.
I know someone.
Prince of Peace
Sincerely,
Lost Princess, Now found
